The unique and historic UBC Farm is under threat of residential development. Do we really need to build more condos and lose yet more farmland for short-term gain (cash to UBC) and long-term pain (loss of a valuable, national resource)?!

The farm’s value as a centre for research and education on food security and sustainable food systems has been acknowledged with accolades and a variety of awards from various quarters. Its potential for continued and far-reaching impact to our knowledge and awareness of food systems is in jeopardy.
